Akiko Kiryu

Appears in Mermaid's Gaze. Shingo's older sister. Akiko blamed herself for her brother's violent behavior and intended to perish alongside him in a double suicide through ingesting "poison" (mermaid's flesh), but was the only one who ended up dying. A "doll" was made in her likeness, which Shingo attempts to get his hands on a century later, claiming that the "doll" is his sister's body, which was encased and preserved in wax after it was found to not be decaying.
