Mang Ryo

Mang Ryo is responsible for eliminating the Yakmun medicine sect that, leaves Jin Jagan, the story's protagonist, as the sole survivor of his clan. With the young Jin swearing upon revenge against the Poison sect with his life, Mang Ryo develops a sadistic obsession over Jin Jagan, a focus that will single-handedly lead him on a path of blood and revenge. Mang Ryo particularly stands out due to his crucial efforts in ensuring the necessary character development for Jin Jagan.

Even after Jin survives his sect's massacre and gains high resistance to the deadliest of poisons, Mang Ryo, due to his obsession to be one to kill the young venom of the Yakmun sect, orchestrated several conflicts and schemes involving different subsects of the Poison sect to ensure that Jin grows to be powerful enough before the inevitable meeting of the two. Thus, through his obsession, Mang Ryo unwittingly becomes the spurring factor of history's soon-to-be most feared poison martial master.
