Ayaka Takahashi

Ayaka Takahashi is one of the main protagonists of the manga. She has long hair with side bangs, and normally wears the Yoinaka school uniform. She is a monster masquerading as a popular human classmate who teaches the protagonist, Itou, how to act "normal".

She is a "costume-type" monster, which is a type of monster that camouflages by utilizing the flesh of a human corpse. The original owner of the body was already found dead when she stumbled upon it 4 years ago. She is very good at acting human-like, yet finds it hard to understand humans completely like how humans understand other humans despite being a very old being who has observed humans for a long time.

To where she originally came from is unknown, but it is established that she has lived very, very long.
