Bodil Ipsen

Bodil Ipsen is one of the characters of the No\Name manga series, written by Rafal Jaki and illustrated by Machine Gamu.

According to his own statement, Bodil met his wife, Kára, in college, and after falling in love, they married and had a son a few months ago. During Kára's pregnancy, Bodil noticed a shift in her behavior. She became overwhelmed by the responsibilities of parenthood and even considered abortion. They discussed her concerns and decided it was likely due to hormonal changes.

After their son was born, Kára seemed to return to her usual self. However, one Friday, she and their son suddenly disappeared. Bodil reported her missing when he found out she never reached her mother's house, despite sending a message indicating she was visiting. The Nordic Naming Bureau got involved because Bodil had complained to the Mayor about the inadequate search efforts for his family.

Chapter 1–9

Kára explained that Bodil uses his Name Power to control her against her will, taking away all her control.

Bodil, whose Name Power is "Human Commander," was deeply distressed by his wife's disappearance. Although he had been granted permission to name his son after himself, the child had not yet adopted his name. As a motivational speaker, Bodil hoped his son would uphold the family tradition of leadership.

As for Kára's side, she never wanted to have children, but Bodil's use of his Name Power to make her desire them and pressures her further to submission. This manipulation created significant tension between them, leading Kára to flee with their son in an attempt to escape Bodil's control and start a new life, believing the system would fail her.

When Ralf and Ursula from the Nordic Naming Bureau confronted Kára, she expressed her frustration and anger towards Bodil. In a violent encounter, Ursula, outraged by Kára's situation, killed her to protect Ralf. Kára's mother, Vivica, was heartbroken by her daughter's death and worried about her grandson's safety.
