Heejun Park

Park Heejun is one of the major antagonists in Designated Bully. He is Kwon Daegun’s childhood friend and, like Daegun, an orphan. This shared experience of growing up without parents formed the foundation of their bond, leading to a close friendship during their school days.

Unlike Daegun, who preferred peace and quiet, Heejun was always a bully in school. Despite his lack of parental support or backing from powerful figures, he commanded fear and respect due to his strength and imposing presence. Heejun is also an expert martial artist, much like Daegun, and it’s possible that he played a significant role in teaching Daegun many of his fighting skills. Both characters possess extensive knowledge of martial arts, and they are even seen using similar techniques in combat. While no direct confrontation between them has been shown, it’s reasonable to assume that they are equals when it comes to fighting ability.

Their paths likely diverged before high school, as their goals and values became increasingly incompatible. Daegun sought a peaceful and quiet life, while Heejun craved power and wealth through violence and intimidation. Unlike Daegun, who strives for a clean and normal life, Heejun thrives on chaos and conflict. He takes pleasure in fighting and is rumored to have created the infamous underground fighting arena known as the Mud Club. He now manages and operates the venue with his crew, overseeing not only illegal fights but also engaging in loan-sharking schemes. This criminal enterprise was evident when Heejun and his men attempted to kidnap Park Dojin after the latter failed to repay his debt.

Heejun’s reliance on crime and violence starkly contrasts with Daegun’s desire for a lawful and simple existence. This fundamental difference has driven a wedge between the two former friends. Though they were once inseparable, they now struggle to maintain even a civil conversation. Daegun often warns Heejun to stay away from his life and business, highlighting the deep rift that has developed between them. Despite their shared past, their opposing philosophies and choices have turned them into adversaries.
