The deuteragonist of season 1.

He was born to the artificial womb Kleio, but was abandoned because of his flaws. Charin's father had a promising career as a researcher, but took his own life. He was trying to cope with his inferiority complex from a colleague through his sex addiction. And when he failed to become the best of the best, he kept engaging in self-destructive behavior until he, well, literally self-destructed. Regardless of which artificial womb his father's genes were gestated in, most of the gene-holders grew into miserable, self-destructive members of society. 80% of whom took their own lives. Much of the remaining 20% who didn't commit suicide serve in the sex industry. Hyehan theorises that Charin is miserable, because he longs for something he wasn't destined for.
