Kaname
θ¦
Kaname is Shinobu's son β the next generation inheriting the emotional residue of his father's past. He grows up sensing the quiet sadness in Shinobu, even if he doesn't understand it. Kaname's story appears in the later chapters and side stories, where he becomes a mirror reflecting the unresolved tensions of the previous generation.
Kaname is perceptive, curious, and emotionally open in ways Shinobu never allowed himself to be. Yet he also carries a subtle loneliness, a feeling of being on the outside of his father's inner world. His interactions with Takezou are tinged with ambiguity β admiration, confusion, and the sense that Takezou sees him as an extension of Shinobu.
Kaname's arc explores how trauma and desire echo across generations, even when no one speaks them aloud.
