Hifumi Takano

Hifumi Takano is the adoptive grandfather of Takano Miyo, formerly Tanashi Miyoko. He was a researcher and a doctor during World War II, and discovered the Hinamizawa Syndrome while researching cases of psychosis preceding death during the war. He worked hard to research the syndrome but ultimately died without having it be recognized by the public.
