Jijii no Koi began as a one-shot in the anthology #B ga L suru 4 Page Anthology under the title "Akiramenai Otoko" (諦めない男); the one-shot was relabled as the prologue in the volume release. The series was then published in the Feburary and March 2021 issues of Magazine Be x Boy before moving to Kurofune pixiv under the current title.
