Kotono Watanabe

Watanabe Kotono is a director. She was born in Nakatsugawa, a city in Gifu Prefecture. In March 2007, she graduated from Aichi University of the Arts. In April of the same year, she joined studio Madhouse.

She made her TV series directorial debut with Btooom! in 2012 at the young age of 29 because Flying Dog producer Minami Takeshi wanted a director who was either young or a woman.
