Yukie Nakauchi

Birthplace Hokkaido, Japan

Yukie Nakauchi graduated from the graphic design department at Tama Art University and currently studies in the animation department at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts. Her drawn animation films use music and geometrically shaped characters as motives.

Her film “Celebration and Chorale” was selected for Ottawa International Animation Festival in 2013 and won the Silver award at the 18th edition of Campus Genius Award. Together with Mirai Mizue, she co-directed the music video to Shugo Tokumaru’s “Poker.”
