YOASOBI is a Japanese music duo composed by vocaloid producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Ikura (Rira Ikuta). The group has released songs based on short stories posted on 'Monogatary'.
The duo became really popular in Japan after releasing the song 'ε€γ«ι§γγ(Yoru ni Kakeru)/Racing into the Night' in 2019 which received more than 180M views on YouTube.
Trivia: the meaning of the group name 'YOASOBI' translated to 'ε€ιγ³' in Japanese, which means 'going out to play at night'. Both Ayase and Ikura used to have morning jobs so they decided to work on music together at night, hence, YOASOBI.
