Hiroshi Manabe was an artist, illustrator, and animation artist. While working to design manga collections, books, and magazines, as well as a writer, in 1960, Manabe co-found the Three-Person Animation Circle and was one of the earliest ones to carry out experiments in intermedia across animation, music, theater, and performance.
